our people who move

they brought to
our lives, our world
everything is here
available everywhere
contributions remain
it doesn’t end
presence extends
moments remembered
memory embraced
legacy retraced
death isn’t final
life is eternal
the physical may burn
the spiritual will churn
we never lose
our loves that move
into the next adventure

With every beat
You make music dance
With every pun
You make laughter groan
With every prayer
You make God a friend
With every plan
You make home a treasure
With every smile
You make hearts warm
With every pain
You make heroes real
With every tear
You make hope rise
With everyone
You make love clear

    Stepping into new light
Like walking through a waterfall
Leaving the cave behind
The water washing over all
Rinsing the old away
Bringing color to a dusty world

    Maybe I’m bad at spelling
But the idea
Of loose faith
Is something ever so
Appealing
Dropping the leash
Let go of the reigns
Open my hands and
Let faith free
From my grasp
It goes where it wants
And flies to the sky
To find nothing
And everything
As it should
I didn’t lose my faith
Just let it loose
It found the way
A path
To return home

Of amazing and varied life forms
Working together and against
Each other to create the great Gaia
In a microcosm human society evolves
A maze of different forms of life

Each other to create the great experiment
The lens of history will focus on life
And gaze at both us and them
Working together and against
Each other to create the great divide
Through elitism and racism we see
Tempers ablaze with political forums
Working together and against
Each other to create unmanaged chaos
May we join with the great Gaia
Aside the craze of unbridled hope
Working together, and against
The other, to create a great unity
And evolve until the world is full
Of amazing and varied ideas
Working together and against
Each other to create the great Peace
