    Fear is not a reason to decide
Resolve makes for better choices
Both personal and collective
I will not be afraid:
As a person
As a husband
As a father
As a leader
As a follower
As a friend
As a lover
As a voter
As a human
I resolve:
To support change for good
To love my neighbor
To have no enemies
To honor truth
To embrace equality
To walk in justice
To seek humility
To practice mindfulness
To abolish fear
Resolve removes fear
Resolution feeds revolution

    There are moments when the world stops breathing
A sharp inhale and then silence
And for a few seconds you can hear
You can see
You can smell
You can taste and feel what is supposed to be
I hold my breath with the world in the stillness
I focus my mind on nothing
And everything that I can hear
I can see
I can smell
I can taste and feel what I’m supposed to experience
Then the world takes a breath
And so do I
Richer and wiser

    Though there isn’t anything
simple about it anymore,
I choose to simply love
and that brings back
the times when true
love was simple.

    There's no other place like home
Nowhere else for us to roam
Like the planet where we live
Let us all begin to give
To Mother Earth love and care
Above all to be aware
Of all the places we can roam

    There is an ancient way that calls to me from deep within
This, this is my future path lost to me on the horizon
I feel the sacred among the old oaks that stand with me here
And in the rhythm of the drumbeat my heart matches
Starting the circle way, my feet softly walk with nature
Though I’m lost to the destination, I find the route familiar
A cricket calls my name and the rocks outline the trail as
The hawk screams “You are here” and deer watch in silence

I move toward the center and feel the earth pull me in
There is power in each step to keep me moving through
As I pause to lay the prayers of my family at the center of all things,
I leave behind what was to focus each step on what will

Shoulder to shoulder I stand with you, my new, unexpected tribe
On the circle way together and alone, we walk this beautiful path
Together, forever in this moment held gently in hands of the past
Change moves through our souls to circle and embrace all
