    Following tradition
    I memorize the dogma
    Never questioning nor diverging
The way is clear and harsh
    My steps and thought, straight
    I follow the path
    Rejecting tradition
    I rebel against the dogma
    And question all before me
As I come to the end of the path
    To stop, deep in thought
    On what is the way
    Creating traditions
    Without harsh dogma
    Embracing questions and wonder
I forge a new, more beautiful path
I walk without listening to thought
    And follow the Way

    Under the Ombré Sky
    The first light
    Like the power of love
    Awakens the world
    The sunrise
    Like the power of understanding
    Defeats the darkness
    The noonday sun
    Like the power of peacefulness
    Warms the earth
    The sunset
Like the power of letting go
    Closes a chapter
    The last light
    Like the power of mindfulness
    Clears the way
    The midnight moon
    Like the power of compassion
    Embraces the darkness
  • time warp

    I don’t even remember November
    what the hell is happening
why does time need to speed
there’s a warp all of the sudden
    in minutes
    in decency
    in frequency
    of mindless things
    so now we surrender December
    the white flag already raised
    to the onslaught we’ve wrought
by rushing to the next thing
    and neglecting, not protecting
    each precious moment
to create a world mindful and kind full
    we can pause what’s happening
and step off this dreadful treadmill
    opening up to peace and
    to breathing
    instead of seething
    before these moments pass
  • untitled haiku

    The whole world exists
    In this single flower bloom
    Yellow like the sun
